'Café Noir' by Julian Gallo: The Community of Addiction
Short Story ebook Review written by W.T. Hoffman
This is a short story that examines the life of the addict.
Three dead drunk buddies observe the world of heroin addiction. It's been a long time since I explored this world, back in the 80s and 90s. It's a good story to remind yourself how meaningless and cruel living for that next high that gets you through that next day.
Café Noir is a good read if you feel you need a meeting, but you only have 15 minutes of spare time to obtain a reminder, why you left this all behind.
